XT3 Compass Technical Specifications Magnetic Cover Lifter With Compass Like Stems
The XT3 Compass is a folding magnetic cover lifter with two powerful magnets designed for raising cast iron manhole covers with two operators (halving the effort required). By law, manual handling of loads requires that no more than 20kg per operator can be lifted. This is often impractical, especially due to the initial upward separation of the lid. This is also the action that requires the most effort as covers are usually blocked by rust and dirt.
The XT3 Compass is folding and has an adjustable span, allowing the operator to find the most favourable points of contact on the cover and the best position for the magnets to grab firmly. The wide handles are ergonomic and offer comfort for both removal and side positioning of the lid.
To detach the tool after lifting, simply give it a quick side stroke.
The XT3 Compass is delivered with two hard plastic anti-magnetic protection caps to avoid accidental contact with metallic objects.
