Port Macquarie Access Cover Upgrade - Proudly taking out working at height risks!

We recently completed a safe access installation in Port Macquarie, replacing an outdated and unsafe access cover system with our MP-LP series.

The existing access covers posed several hazards:

• Overweight lids which created significant manual handling risks for operators.
• Raised installation increasing trip hazards adjacent to a deep pit.
• No fall prevention devices, requiring operators to wear a harness and work at heights during routine maintenance.

To address these safety concerns, our team delivered a tailored upgrade:

• Installed a lightweight aluminium access cover with integrated safety grate, reducing lifting strain and preventing falls.
• Added a permanent handrail with a self-closing gate, ensuring constant edge protection.

With this system, operators are never exposed to a leading edge during routine maintenance, completely removing the need for harnesses and eliminating the risk of working at heights.
