Safe Access Upgrade at Sanctuary Cove Improves Safety and Efficiency

Mass Products recently completed a safe access infrastructure upgrade at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, addressing multiple safety and operational hazards around a critical wet well site.

Existing site challenges included an uneven working area that created trip hazards, a low-lying location prone to flooding during rain events, a clear opening too small for safe pump retrieval, and heavy steel covers with no integrated fall prevention.

To solve these issues, our team delivered a comprehensive upgrade:

• Installed new concrete surrounds to eliminate trip hazards.
• Built a small retaining wall to divert water away from the site.
• Raised the electrical cabinet for flood protection.
• Concrete-cut the converter slab to enlarge the opening for safer pump removal.
• Fitted a lightweight aluminium access cover with an integrated safety grate, improving operator safety and compliance.
